TARLAC | September 5, 2026
Students and parents across Tarlac are being advised to continue monitoring official announcements after days of class disruptions caused by heavy rains associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
On Friday, September 4, Malacañang ordered schools in Tarlac and several other Luzon provinces to shift to alternative learning arrangements because of anticipated continued heavy rainfall. The directive covered all levels in public and private educational institutions, unless local chief executives ordered full cancellation or suspension of classes.
The national directive specifically included Tarlac among the provinces affected by the weather-related learning adjustment.
Saturday Suspensions Varied by Area
Weather-related class suspensions also continued in several parts of the country on Saturday, September 5, with some local governments suspending face-to-face classes or shifting students to alternative delivery modes because of Habagat rains and flooding.
However, based on the latest national suspension lists reviewed by Everything Tarlac, there was no confirmed blanket province-wide suspension for all of Tarlac on September 5 in the same form as the September 4 national directive.
Because class suspension decisions may also be issued individually by municipalities, cities, schools or universities, students should verify announcements directly from their respective LGU or educational institution.
No Confirmed September 7 Suspension Yet
As of late afternoon Saturday, September 5, Everything Tarlac has not verified an official province-wide announcement suspending face-to-face classes in Tarlac for Monday, September 7.
Any social media post claiming that classes are already suspended on Monday should therefore be treated cautiously unless it comes from the Provincial Government of Tarlac, the relevant city or municipal government, DepEd, the school concerned, or another authorized government office.
Weather conditions may still change, and additional announcements could be issued tonight or over the weekend.
