In its 4:00 a.m. weather forecast, PAGASA listed Tarlac among areas expected to experience occasional rains due to the Habagat. The weather bureau warned that moderate to heavy rainfall may trigger flash floods or landslides, particularly in low-lying, flood-prone and vulnerable areas.

Residents Advised to Remain Alert

Tarlaqueños are advised to keep umbrellas and rain protection ready and remain cautious when travelling, especially during periods of heavier rainfall.

Motorists should slow down on wet roads and avoid attempting to cross flooded sections where the depth or current cannot be safely assessed. Residents living near rivers, creeks and other flood-prone locations should continue monitoring advisories from PAGASA and their respective local government units.

While the forecast covers Tarlac as a province, rainfall may vary from one municipality or barangay to another. Some areas may experience only light rain while others could receive heavier downpours.

Habagat Expected to Persist

PAGASA Administrator Nathaniel Servando said the Habagat season could continue until around the end of September, although rainfall may generally be less intense than what was experienced during previous weeks. Western sections of Luzon are still expected to receive above-normal rainfall during periods of enhanced monsoon activity.

As of Saturday afternoon, PAGASA also continued to issue rainfall warnings for portions of Central Luzon because of the Southwest Monsoon, underscoring the need for continued monitoring even in areas not currently under the highest warning level.

Weather Outlook

Current forecast data for Tarlac shows cloudy and humid conditions, with rain and thunderstorms remaining possible over the next several days.
