Tarlac residents are advised to continue monitoring weather conditions as the Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, is expected to bring another period of significant rainfall to the province.
PAGASA's rainfall outlook indicates that Tarlac may receive around 50 to 100 millimeters of rain on Monday, September 7, and Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
Habagat continues to affect Tarlac
The Southwest Monsoon is expected to continue bringing occasional rains over parts of Central Luzon, including Tarlac.
PAGASA has cautioned that rainfall amounts may vary depending on location and may be higher in mountainous or elevated areas.
The weather bureau also noted that the effects of additional rainfall could become more significant in locations that have already received substantial rain during previous days.
Flood-prone areas should remain alert
Residents living in low-lying communities, near rivers and waterways, and in locations with a history of flooding are encouraged to monitor weather conditions closely.
Local disaster risk reduction offices may issue additional advisories if conditions warrant.
Tarlac was not under the same heavy rainfall warning level issued for some neighboring provinces early Sunday morning, but warning levels and forecasts can change as weather conditions develop.
Residents should rely on official PAGASA bulletins and announcements from provincial and municipal authorities.
Tropical cyclone being monitored outside PAR
PAGASA is also monitoring Tropical Storm Krovanh, formerly named Pilandok while inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
The storm was located outside PAR as of early Sunday and was being monitored separately from the Habagat affecting portions of Luzon.
Everything Tarlac will continue monitoring PAGASA advisories and local government announcements for developments that could affect Tarlac Province.
