PAGASA no longer placed any part of Tarlac under a Yellow Rainfall Warning in its 5:00 AM update on Tuesday, September 8, although rain continued to affect several parts of the province.

According to Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 8 issued by PAGASA NCR-PRSD, light to moderate rain with occasional heavy rain was affecting Mayantoc, San Clemente, San Jose, Capas, Bamban, Santa Ignacia, Camiling, Gerona, Tarlac City and Victoria. The rainfall may persist and may also affect nearby areas.

Warning level changed overnight

The latest advisory represents an improvement from the situation only three hours earlier.

At 2:00 AM, PAGASA still placed San Jose, Capas, Bamban, Mayantoc, Santa Ignacia, Camiling and San Clemente under the Yellow Warning Level, indicating the possibility of flooding in flood-prone areas.

By 5:00 AM, Tarlac was no longer included among areas under Yellow Warning.

Residents still advised to monitor conditions

Despite the lifting of the rainfall warning, continued rain means residents should remain cautious, particularly in low-lying communities, areas near waterways and locations that recently experienced flooding.

PAGASA advised the public and local disaster risk reduction and management offices to continue monitoring weather conditions and official advisories.

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat continues to influence weather over Luzon. PAGASA's September 7 general forecast also warned of possible flash floods or landslides in Tarlac due to moderate to heavy rain.
